Both the hubby & I had a dentist appointment today. I personally have a phobia of them. I took my antibiotic as told & off we went. when we got there they didn’t have us down for today or any day. I remember getting a post card in the mail reminding me of appointment, of course I didn’t bring it. I had also double checked the card we had gotten from last visit & was sure today was right day. We had to make another appointment for next month. Of course hubby was sure I had screwed up & either had wrong day or we missed it. Came home & showed him card, I was right! Now I have to go through the stress next month!

Cows are getting closer. I’ve been waiting so long for some new calves I can hardly stand it! Our red girl is looking great & is very lively!

Michelle Kranz bought a Cherry bomb x IceMan heifer from us last year. She calved last night. Was bred to Ali. Had a 90# heifer unassisted. Both calf & cow are doing great. Was so glad for her. Also another heifer we sold last year out of Cowboy Cut & Rose was sold to Red Wing Farm & they also bred her to Ali. She had a bull calf & both are doing great. I love it when I have happy customers!

Supposed to be 50 tomorrow. Am going to try & get out to the barn for more pictures.

Winter is still here. woke up to snow & some ice. I’m ready for spring!!!!

Nothing really going on here. Sort of boring really.  LOL

The 2 cows that are closer to calving are looking miserable. Hopefully the weather will be better!

For the Woody lover’s here is a picture of him. He is very spoiled!

My hubby isn’t the most romantic but he does good sometimes! For Valentine’s Day we went to Red Lobster. Yummy! I’m a crab legs lover & confese I make a terrible mess.

Sunday we went to a chocolate soiree at church. I think I woke up Monday w/ a chocolate hangover. some things just shouldn’t have chocolate in them. for example sweet potato soup w/ chocolate dumplings or a pork loin w/ a chocolate sauce. It went to a good cause, the youth group, so that made it bearable.

Today the hubby is cleaning the barn lot. He wanted to get it in shape for the new calves due in 2 weeks.

Last night we had a terrible wind storm. About 10:00 pm we lost power. Since it was too late to get a generator going we just went to bed. I was very glad that my mom has bought us many flash lights over the years! It got down to 30 overnight. I was up a couple of times to add blankets to our bed. This morning the house was down to 50. The transformer was damaged so we had to call the electric company. They got it fixed mid morning.

I just can’t imagine how TJ got through weeks without power. Made me glad I’m not Amish!

They lost part of the barn roof at the farm. I had a vinyl fence knocked down & several garden items broken. I guess we were lucky compared to people that go through tornadoes.

I was panicking some because our internet server was down because of the wind. I just had to watch Gidget sell Mucho. Luckily it was back up this afternoon.

Well, this is my first attempt at my new blog!

Today is a typical spring day in Ohio rather than the middle of Feburary. Mid 60,s, rain & wind justs up to 60MPH.

I finally got out to the barn the other day. Took pictures of my Hard Core heifer out of our Iceman x Foreplay cow. We named her Apple Core since she’s red.

Today I’m going to make some popcorn & at 3:00 EST watch the Maine parade at the Iowa Expo. My gal Gidget is showing off her Money Man bull Mucho. Hope the best for her & family this week!

Woody wants out so I’ll end this for today!
