That is the reasoning I have gotten with the fall born steers that are sold in the north. Makes sense.

I was looking at the winners in the steer show on The Pulse and noticed that some of steers didn't have their heads clipped. I realize this was a no fit show but is that a thing now? I don't even like looking at fall born steers that they don't clip their sheath.

The Univ. of Nebraska did a study that found cattle seek out 41 degrees F as the optimal temperature. However it can get really expensive to try and keep that temperature unless you have a cave. Air movement and mist foggers really help as well as keeping it dark. Good luck.
