    foot rot

Not sure what you were using or why it didn't work.  Foot rot is an organism in the soil.  A simple google search will show you it is most definitely an infection with the recommended treatment being antibiotics.  Nuflor is labeled for foot rot so I am confident treating with antibiotics will...

    foot rot

Why won't an antibiotic work on foot rot?  We have had a bit of foot rot the past few years.  Cows treated with only at the hoof took far longer to respond than those treated with Exceed or ResFlor in combination with working on the hoof.  We have 3 outstanding vets and this is what they...

    Cow Cam Problem

Have you looked at the settings on the router? Do you happen to know what the transmission signal from the internet provider was before?

    who made who

I think we are in the minority on Breathe Easy. We had hard pulls on 5 of 5 and they were average sale barn quality but not even what I would consider good feeders.  They were first calf heifers we pelvic measured out of Whiplash, 2 Playboys, 734, and Draft Pick.  All out of Angus cows and...

    who made who

Agreed on the structure.  I have seen more than a few that were structural nightmares. I love my Who cows but I was really careful on what I used him on.

    The new heifer

I really am not trying to give you a hard time but why do you think she is swollen and in pain a lot of the time and is well off enough to breed?  I am afraid that one leaves me scratching my head.  Has she never been in heat?  What has happened if she has been in heat and around other...

    The new heifer

Really she seems to be in pain with every step Have you had the vet look at her?  I would call him/her right away. I am sure you are attached to her but if she is in this much pain you already know what you have to do.  It is not even sort of humane to consider keeping her to go through the...

    The new heifer

How unsound is she?  If she is walking stiff or off it is not because it feels good to move.  I don't fool around with soundness issues.  You can breed some muscle, bone, hair, neck, rib, hair, into and out of them but multiple structure problems are tough.  I don't remember seeing one with a...

    New Heifer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice heifer.  What is the cow? We have HWs and Monopolys and they did not make a trip to town because because they breed on time, calve without train wrecks, and milk.  Common sense and wise management make good cattlemen.  I don't remember meeting a good cattleman that makes sweeping...

    Is this a good dewormer?

Do you have any links with scientific info about the resistance because that is why we rotate and is what our vets have said to do for years.  I will ask one of the vets next time he his here as well because that is the first I have heard of it.

    Is this a good dewormer?

With any of them, do a fecal before and after to find out what you need and what worked.  If you are doing a big group you do not have to have a sample on each one. We always rotate wormers and used Dectomax pour on last fall.  It was the least effective of anything we have used in the past...

    Honda side by side

We have a Polaris 700 6x6 2007 with 1200 hours and a 2007 Kubota 900 with a full cab and 2800 hours.  They were both bought used. We use ours a lot but we do take good care of them. The Polaris we have never been able to keep a drive belt for more than about 100 hours.  That plus the excessive...
