    My First Ever Bull Purchase

I bought this guy off of the SteerPlanet classifieds and I'm pretty excited about him. He's a January 2014 Harvie High Roller out of a 16 time Champion or Reserve Champion About Time cow.

    Cattle Haulers in Wisconsin

I would like to extend a huge thank you to Harley Blegen (HAB) for finding and arranging a ride for my bull! Thanks to Harley my new herdsire is currently on his way from Wisconsin to North Dakota and I'll have him at his new home in Alberta by Thursday. Also thanks to Jason for creating this...

    Cattle Haulers in Wisconsin

The guy who thought that he could haul him can't anymore. I called Randy and they said that they're not planning to make that trip anytime soon but they'll let me know if they come up with something. Any other ideas? This is not as easy as I had hoped that it would be.

    Cattle Haulers in Wisconsin

Thanks KKT, I appreciate it. One of the guys that I had left a message for called me back right after I posted this so we have the trip tentatively planned but if it falls through I'll give him a call.

    Cattle Haulers in Wisconsin

I'm looking for a ride for a yearling bull from Wisconsin to North Portal, Saskatchewan (right on the North Dakota/Saskatchewan border). If anyone could help me out or knows of a trucking company in that area please let me know. We have all the permits and DNA tests so the bull is ready to move...

    Angus Herd Sire Progression

I think that you raised an excellent bull that you should be very proud of. He looked good as a calf and even better as he ages. Congrats!

Cleaned up my favorite girl for Easter!

My parents and I pictured this girl today. Considering that she's only half lead broke, my parents aren't cattle people and we were in a hurry to beat the snow I think it turned out pretty good. I'm pretty proud to say that I raised this cow, I hope to show her and her calf this summer & fall.

    Comments/constructive criticism wanted

Thanks for the comments! I'll be fitting this steer again in mid April so we'll see how that goes. I think the hoof trimming will make it a little easier to get the correct angles.

    Comments/constructive criticism wanted

I'm not sure why the photo is posting horizontally. It shows up correctly in the preview and then wrong in the actual post. If anyone knows how to turn it that would be great.

    Comments/constructive criticism wanted

I fitted this leg this weekend and was just wondering what everyone thought of it. I'm not a pro by any means and it's probably one of the best legs that I've ever done but I'm always looking to get better so any comments are welcome. I do realize that this steer needs his hooves trimmed. The...

    MELATONIN DOSAGE

I had a waco steer (no other way to put it, he was a nutcase) that got 90mg of melatonin daily to keep him somewhat manageable and 130mg of melatonin on the morning of the show. On showday I also gave him an ounce of whiskey when I loaded him on the trailer in the morning and another ounce of...

    Post your most exciting matings!

Sounds like everyone's got some pretty exciting calves on or soon to be on the ground! This isn't the calf I started this post with but she's a day old You Tube sired heifer calf out of a big boned, power house cow. I think she could be pretty cool.

    Reimann's Dispersal

I don't know Nick or the family but the catalog sure was impressive! I saw this on facebook, I think is was Liveauctions TV that shared it. According to it lot 601 brought $82,500.

    Transformation Tuesday

These are always fun, post your favourites. Here's mine: BARE 37Z at around 2 months and at 3 years. She's due to calve in a month and I'm hoping for a smoking heifer calf so I can show them as a pair this summer & fall.
