Here in west central Wisconsin they're running .90-$1.15/lb right now.

My daughter has a SunseekerxAngus heifer, a Hardcore x Vegas heifer and an AlixMoody Blues steer.

I don't know about anywhere else but up here in Wisconsin it was so nice today that the house was the last place you'd find me. Just came in from working with calves.

I've got 3 Gigolo Joe, 2 Money Man and a JPJ on heifers and 2 Hired Man, 1 Gigolo Joe and a JPJ on  cows. The rest were cleaned up with a Sim/Angus bull.

You're probably right. That's too bad, I guess I should have had Galbreath watching some for me, maybe I could have gotten a deal or two. I've got all kinds of room.

I can't say for sure who bought her but the guy told me he was dropping her in Minnesota, Jungles are in North Dakota. I didn't actually ask who bought her.

Thanks Justin, I saw her briefly last night on a trailer when she was headed to her new home.  I bought a bred from a sale in Indiana and had a guy headed to North Dakota drop her off and he had the Jazz calf on as well. I'll agree she was  small but I also think Jazz has his place on the right...

Was there only one Jazz heifer on the sale?

It's hard to tell in pictures what his ideal finished weight would be but here's my take. You've got just over 120 days between now and Jan 1. If he gains 3 lbs/day between now and then he'll be just over 1300 at the beginning of Jan. I'd say you're pretty close to being on track but I'd get him...

I'd have to say Gigolo Joe or Majors Money Man. Both are calving ease and I've been seeing some pretty nice calves out of them.

I couldn't  agree with you more. I've had goats, failed miserably. Sheep do great for us around buildings and such. They clean up weeds first, grass second. I've had sheep on and off for 20 plus years, have only buried three.

Nice calves. The second one sure looks proud.

BCCC, check your calendar again. I think it's more like 25 days which means 6 lbs/day. Pretty hard to accomplish, especially in the summer heat.
