I was wondering if there was any data out there for prices on herd bulls. Is there any cattle associations or farm management assc. data on average prices paid for breeding bulls? I think the 3 bulls I bought in the last seven years was 2800, 4500 and 4000$.

Beckton Stormalong was thought to be an os carrier wasn't he? Red Angus. Some geneticist might be interested in him.

I think hoof color is more interesting to talk about. Purebred Shorthorns can have almost white hooves.......or dark hooves. One foot trimmer told me dark hooves are more durable. I don't know. Seems like in my experience........Shorthorns are better footed than Red Angus.
