    Heatwave hair

You can probably look at some other posts on here about breaking calves but I'll try giving you a few ideas.  First of all, the earlier the better because the calf will be smaller and easier to handle.  Every calf has it's own attitude, some will be stubborn and some will want to run.  Some will...

    Heatwave hair

It sounds like your calf has really GOOD hair, and there is a difference between long hair and GOOD hair.  Just think of it in terms of women's hair.  Women always want more volume and body to their hair ~ that's why companies sell all those shampoos and conditioners.  Anyone can grow long hair...

    i want your critisim

I agree, the fatter you get one ~ the thicker they are going to look.  Not to knock the breeds but that's how a lot of Angus and Shorthorn showman get theirs to look like they have something to them from behind.  Pour the feed to this steer and he is only going to look better!

    i want your critisim

I agree, a little straight off both ends but there's not much you can do about that now.  Push the feed to him hard, that will soften him up in the middle, hopefully giving him some depth and dropping that rear flank down.  If he roaches his top like that all the time, make sure you loin him...

    Opinions on heifer

Like you stated earlier, this heifer was bred to be a bull/steer and she looks the part.  To get critical of her ~ she is way too straight off both ends.  I know it's hard to tell by a couple pictures but she's got a lot of shoulder that needs more angulation to it which causes her to toe out on...
