No EPDS are not used in Canadian shows at all.  In almost every case that would have helped my cause but that being said, I am not a big promoter of using numbers to judge a show. Good numbers are a good thing but typically the numbers are the last thing I evaluate when choosing animals to use.

From what I've seen and heard SAV President calves have been the best of the charlo/4136 combo bulls on the market.  Rainfall/Raindance are pretty weak topped.

We were Reserve Senior Champion at the first show and 2nd in class at the next show. Comments were consistent in that he was the best moving bull out there, just doesn't look like a "show bull".  One judge said he had too much muscle....the other said he lacked enough performance (he weighs...

Got a better pic of the pair on my cell at lunch time.  The calf is by Bruns Blaster.  He's not huge frame by any means but man is he solid built.  88lb bw and I'll weigh him this weekend.  Thinking around 900lbs. Was born Jan 20th.

Little update on this one.  She may not have looked like a show heifer to some folks on here but I stand by my assertion that she would be a good cow.  Her first calf standing beside her in the pic below.

I wouldn't be terribly scared of his feet.  Bismarck's aren't great in general but lots of his progeny are fine and Black Granites have been far better than Bismarcks in that regard.  As always use any new bull with caution though.  They haven't built a perfect one yet.

We used him across the board on heifers and cows so I should have a pretty good read on him by this time next year.

What's her pedigree?  What has worked on her in the past?  What makes her a flush cow? I'm not saying she's not good.  I just like proven producers before trying to flush. What's her claim to fame?
