I weaned my handful of calves on Monday and was pleased.  My March steers averaged 652 lbs and the March heifers averaged 586 lbs.  All but one of them weaned off over 52% of their mother's weight including first calf heifers!  YAY!!!

I like her.  I presume she was bred by Candy Meadow Farms?  I was stalled next to them at a Jr. National show.  Great people!  This heifers is really gonna make a nice cow.  Good luck with her and keep us posted!

I'm friends with the Laflin family and  they are great people.  They are neighbors as well.  Guy's certainly always good for a chuckle or two!!!  Great story!

I'd clean up her front, give her a little more depth in the heart and I'd like to see a tick more muscle.  She's not quite feminine enough for me as well. HOWEVER, I know how hard it can be to show the quality in a calf through pictures.  I have a dandy of a heifer, but she always looks course...

I liked my 338's.  I didn't have any disposition problems, but that's not the first time I'd heard that about them.  They had beautiful udders and were very easy fleshing...  When your footing the feed bill on 1,000 hd, easy fleshing cows with a little smaller frame is a bonus!!!

Better pic, but still a very nice functional calf.  I'd sure like to see his progress!  I am assuming without looking it up that Right Way was out of Right Time 338.  Is that correct??  If so, the 338's are some of my alltime favorite cows..... 

He has a masculine look to him, not necessarily all that bunched IMO..... Balanced, deep, and soft.  Looks to sire moderate framed, easy fleshing type of cattle....  From the commercial cattlewoman's  standpoint, I'd give you an  (thumbsup)  on that calf.
