Moved a group of cows into a  calving pasture.
2nd picture is one of the reasons we moved the cows there. The calf is by Buster 14K .
This winter we had a lot of  Snowy Owl's around. This Snowy Owl had a bad day. I was wondering how far south do they go?

Not sure where you are located, but you may want to reconsider posting a picture of you holding the owl.  I know some of the game wardens around here would not hesitate to prosecute under the protected status law.  We are not even allowed to possess a feather where I am.

Just sayin.

We moved them onto some grass. They where on stubble and it was getting a little soft and also the cows are lot easier to keep an eye on them where they are now.

She is by Alta Cedar Ultimate 130k and out of a Kinnaber Leader 9th cow ( a bull from the 60's). She is the mother of our lot 58 bull in the Who's Your Daddy sale.

Beautiful country! Would be tempting to take some lawn chairs up there on sunny days and enjoy the view! We have seen a lot more snowy owls here as well this year. On a normal year your lucky if you see one. Do  you ever have trouble with ears freezing when calving out on pasture?
