this is really interesting because it shows the diversity of bonding possible from just nine genes. granted, this is a kind of food source, but still intersting there is that many similar enough binding sites for such a few number of proteins in aids, and maybe not all 9 are doing this. would like to see a study to whittle down which one is doing what.
still, more people die from staph alone and car wrecks alone each year than aids
