How would I best use this blade?  Use it like a #10 and for backdragging?  Any tips are appreciated as I've only ever used #10's and blocking blades

We use the 84's too feather out the hindquarters on each side of the twist.  Makes em look quite a bit wider.  Use 10 wides on heads.  Makes for a nice smooth look with no lines.

I use the T84's to do heads now... forget the flathead unless you have major amount of hair to remove!!!!! I too use it to back drag on the neck, use on the brisket and the rear end too.  the X Blend is really good to blend areas together also..... use X Blocks with caution if you are just starting out!!!!

The t-84 andis blades were originally designed for backdragging, but now people use them for everything.

We got started with the T84 for clipping holsteins. Our kids do both dairy and beef and the T84 is excellent for leaving a smooth cut. For dairy we use it on the entire body, for beef it is awesome around the head. Finally, it works great for people with little experience at clipping. If your hand is not steady with more agressive blades, you can easily take off too much. The T84 is a much less aggressive blade and nervous hands or nervous calves won't clip off as much hair.
