I know a few guys feeding that stuff, they seem to like it and its fairly cheap from what i understand you just have to buy it in bulk like 3 ton I think.

its 50% corn gluten pellets, 50% soybean pellets and it is the cheapest thing ive come across, they sell it here in 50lb bags, $13/100, no minimum

they also have another ton mix that they put 300lbs corn, 850 cg, 850sb, but of course its more expensive

i guess i was just wondering if health wise it was ok to feed, i dont know that much about the whole corn gluten thing

We fed it straight and mixed with soybean hulls until the mill we got it from closed. The mill we go to now doesn't have it, so we feed soybean hulls and distiller grain.

I feed a half corn gluten half cracked corn to supplement my cows in the winter, I only feed about three pounds a day just to give them a little something extra.  My brother works for a guy that runs about 400 cows and they feed corn gluten straight, they use it for cows on winter pasture just to bring them up to check them and there calves, they only feed a few pounds a day.

I feed a half DDGS/ Soyhull pellet feed to some of my (at my place) cows and ewes.  The ewes are getting 4# a day of the half in half mix.. the cows about a pound...

We also feed a ton of gluton to the remainder of the cows at home...  Feed it in a ration about half gluton, half corn...

I wouldn't see why this wouldn't work== I prefer the DDGs for added fat-- but pound for pound, protein wise.. i've found gluten to be more expensive.

We mixed some CGF pellets into our heifer ratoin, i believe we put in 200# in a 1500# total mix.
We top dress our dairy steers with it.  Works great as an energy source.
