He's a Sullivan bull yes.  .He's a dark blue/black Hannibal X Doublestuff.  His first crop will be on the ground this spring.  I'm thinking about using him a super stout, really rugged sunseeker cow.

I wonder if he is appendix shorthorn registered? Isn't he supposed to be defect free.

I can't believe noone has any on the way... I figured he would have been a popular yearling last spring...

I just wasn't that impressed with him I guess.  If I was going to use a Hannibal son out of a Shorthorn cow, it would have been Manchild.

I might be wrong, but I don't believe they started promoting him until their spring private treaty sale...so they probably wouldn't have sold much semen before then. His big first crop of calves will probably arrive this fall, but there might not have been too many in the spring because not many knew he was available.

He is defect free though, and this is a bit of an advantage over Manchild...

You're right about the promotion situation...I hope to see a few calves this fall.

Even though Manchild has defects, I don't think that will stop too many people from breeding to him.  I haven't, and I don't plan on it, but the calves I have seen have been pretty good.

I'm thinking of breeding a sunseeker cow to him.  She is as stout as they get, but needs to be prettier and he's one of the smoothest, soundest, prettiest bulls i've seen, so i was just wondering  if anyone had any luck with him.
