I have a New Edition 6108 X Dixie Erica heifer that I am close to breeding.  Any thoughts on what would be the best bull for her to get the best 1st live calf out of her?  I can tell you that she was high 80's at birth.  Currently thinking of Connelly Final Product, Northern Improvement, or C&C McKinley.  What do ya'll think of them, or has anyone had better luck out of something else?  Thanks in advance!

Used Exar Tryon, a full brother to Lutton last year on a smaller framed first calf heifer. 59lb heifer calf born unassisted very lively. Actually keep her as a replacement. Will use him again.

I have used Connealy confidence and had good luck. Also used The Answer, and Final answer with no problems. Final Answer is  probably #1 in my opinion. Hard to find one that has put that many good low bw calves on the ground. I have a buddy that has bred all of his heifers the last three years to Regis and has only pulled one of over 30 and it had a leg back.

There's tons of angus Bulls out there that are heifer safe and will give you a live calf. Select one that has a double digit ced and a bw epd below zero with a .85 accuracy one each. I have used connealy final product and breeding him to a first calf heifer imo would be a mistake.  recently I have used with good success tc Thunder 805 hf tiger 5t sav bismarck and connealy Thunder all proven successfully used heifer Bulls.

I've used Comrade from select sires on clubby first calf heifers and have not had to pull one.  I usually don't know they have calved until I check them in the mornings and the calf is up running around.  He has good CED's and a good YW.
