OK-- Been contemplating rather or not to post this or not--but here goes  .  .  .
From what i've heard sales have been pretty tough all over this year.
My question is what do y'all do with the leftover "good ones" you don't sell?
I sure hate to just take 'em to the auction (and don't say eat 'em!!).
Just wondered if there's anyplace or sale better than the local auctions--
Had some good calves --just our first year I guess and the crappy economy!

Alot of years, we show our leftovers at county fairs and some smaller regional shows.  We usually do pretty well too.

the good heifers that are leftover we keep and show them like ofs at smaller shows and let locals take them to the county fair then put them back in the herd as replacements. The steers we will fatten and let the neighbors take them to the county fair and we get the floor prices and they get the premium and split the feed.
