Cane with mixed semen

I recently purchased some semen and had it shipped to me. There was semen on 4 or 5 different bulls. When I received the shipper I checked the top of the canes and counted the straws. That all seemed correct.
I dropped off a cane of semen for a flush recently. The cane had 4 straws in it. The top of the cane had the name of the sire on it.
My embryo guy uses 3 straws to flush conventional. When he thawed the 2nd straw to breed the donor...he checked the straw and noticed it was a different sire than the cane said. He discarded that straw. He thawed another and it was the correct straw. When he went to breed the 3rd time, he thawed the last straw and once again it was the wrong sire. At this point he had no choice but to use that straw since it was the last. 
I've never bought semen where the cane was mixed with different bulls. This cane had 2 and 2.
Anyone else ran into this?? Just curious.

I've ran into just about everything imaginable on the frozen stuff over the years.  ...and it's always discovered well after the cash has changed hands.

Embryos with the wrong sires. Unsexed instead of sexed. Can only find two when you bought three. Canes of mixed semen. 8 straws instead of 10. You name it, it happens. When you call them on it you always get the, well the embryologist or collection center must have screwed it up. It's never the chicken scratch in the semen and inventory records everyone keeps.
