This is what our pasture looks like. More pampered clubby cows.

These poor calves are in what I call the desert and yes they are doing well for the conditions. I forgot to put the pedigrees up though.
The brockle heifer is by Monopoly II and out of a Meyer 734 X angus cow.
The yellow roan steer is a Troubadour out of a Double Vision X Diamond Ruby 24Z cow. She is 11 years old and raising this steer is tough conditions.
They will look so different at weaning Ill try to get photos then.

Do you still have embryo's out of the Diamond Ruby 24Z cow? 24Z was a great cow, looks like her daughter has her longevity producing that calf in those conditions at her age!

It is amazing how these calves can still perform at all when pastures are as bad as this. When I see conditions like this, I feel so sorry for anyone who has to endure these conditions. It also brings back many memories of drought here for more than a decade in the 80s and early 90s. I hope you get rains soon... and lots of it!

I still have one in my tank and if I ask I am sure I could get the 2 I gave to a friend but he never got them put in. That flush only produced 2 heifers(so far) and the other all white heifer has been a outstanding producer too. She has a roan Tiger Woods heifer on her, she is younger though. I need to keep her as I have no other females that go back to Ruby.
The other calf goes back to my angus donor. Really like what she is doing for me too.

What does Colorado usually get in an El Nino type winter? It usually gives us warm wet winter.Hopefully that's what we are in store for next year, even though where I'm at we're actually ok right now.

Your grass situation is absolutely devastating.  I need to drive down and grab a pony, if you need me to grab you anything or bring back anything let me know....

You should get them back, they are probably heifer embryos!
