It appears that Obamo and the democrats(big D) are coming after capitalist's. They are coming after farmers and ranchers with new taxes, death taxes, cap and trade, animal right issues. I think we should start a pro-active organization. Club calf breeders for genetically defective cattle. I feel it is our right to raise the kind of cattle we want to. And not have the federal government step in a put the whammy to us. Now hear me out on this one. Our coalition would be DEFECT and our webssite would be defect.com  We would be based out of the campus of Kansas State University. I could be ceo with a annual salary of 100,000 dollars a year if desired. We would have a 1$ checkoff for every clubcalf sold. This would give us our main source of revenue although we would takes donations and wharever. We would try to add a ammnedment to the constitution of the united states. It would gaurentee our cows rights to bear defective calves and defect carriers. We do not need obama and his ilk telling us what kind of cattle to raise. We would have local state delegations with elected directors. With close to a million defect carriers out there we would have alot of political clout. our mission statement would be following. We as beef breeders in the United States and world have banded together to protect our right to raise genetically defect carriers. These genetic carriers have phenotypically superior appearances and they give our children a great experience as they show these cattle. It is a learning exerience that our youth will not experience if th and pha carriers are hunted down and prosecuted. Th cattle have been a  influence for us and our children for at least 20 years. It has become a way of life. So let us ban together now to save possibly the single most important issue of our time. Just say yes...let us raise geneically defective cattle. It is our country. |It is our legacy. It is our rights to have our cows bear genetically defective cattle. Double carriers(th and pha) embryos will be required to be kept under lock and key and only people over 21 will be allowed to handle such products. So long live DEFECT...Direct Enviromental Friendly Energetic Cow Tamers. And lets do it for the Children. Thank you. ;D

This could be way too big an organization for one person to handle all the business, so i am offering my services to be your assistant for a mere $50,000 a year ( of course I need a complete medical and dental plan and 4 weeks of vacation time each year, plus all expenses and $120 per day for meals when travelling on DEFECT business). I would also offer to establish a Canadian branch of DEFECT a year after the American branch is established. Of course, I would expect a big cushy end of the year bonus, even if I didn't to anything to warrant it. I mean, like this is just the way businesses today work!

I think we should all be thankful that Obama and his crew have been the source of inspiration for many important organizations like this. As one clubby producer so aptly said... " I am going to use carrier sires until my calves all have three eyes" . .....Now that is inspiring!!

Let me know if I need to order business cards.

I'm not really sure if this is more of a political bash on Obama, or a bash at breeders who choose to use carrier genetics. Either way, I think that we have run genetic defect posts into the ground here on steerplanet plenty of times. Why is it not okay for someone to breed the type of cattle that they choose to, are happy with, and are able to market? If you choose not to use carriers of genetic defects, "for the betterment of the breed" good for you, just don't step on the toes of thousands of breeders who choose to use those genetics and are successful in doing so.

Exactley showmanq. Whether its us or Wayne Bents cult or whoever, it is right to stand up for the cause. Everybody does it. Unite oh thou members of DEFECT.We shall prevail. It is GODS will. He made the genetically defective cattle and if we don't protect them we will go to hell. Heil Improver....heil heatseeker. We bow down to you oh Improver, sire of all things hairy and wise. And to his saviour(great, great, great, grandsire) oh heatseeker. Hallow be thine name. Though we walk through the valley of angry veternarians, animal right peoples, and do-gooders we shall continue to linebreed th cattle in the pusuit of happyness and to teach our the youth the meaning of life ohy ye Doublestuff. I purpose a ring of fame in our organizations main welcoming room. We shall picture all the oh great th and pha carriers of all time. Warhorse,Doublestuff, Heatseeker, and last but not least Stinger. The founder of our beef church of greatness is of course is the great one Deerpark Improver. The grand ole Rascal. His legacy of th cattle across the land will overshadow such whimps of genetic defects as St. Louis Lad. Throw down the gauntlet. Be a good example for our youth and stand up to the mamby pamby feel good crusaders against the terrible th scourge. Be a disicple in your everyday life and encourage the use genetic defects. Be the first in your neighborhood to start a special rendering service to pick up dead defective calves and dead c- section cows. Do not shy away from this committment. We need lobbists to visit our ag colleges to promote the advantages of th defective cattle. Can you say"lower cattle inventory". Right on brother. Its a win win situation. We could have a famous spokesman on tv promoting our cause."Th cattle...its for the showring"! And last but not least we must infiltrate the Kindergardens of this nation. Get to the kids early. Take over pta's across our great country and begin teaching our children the values of the superior phenotype of the genetic defects in the showring. And please stop by our booth at he national Western. We will be located next the "Federation of beef improvement" and the ABS booth. Take care...

UPDATE: Fox News The ceo aj and the founding advisor jit have anounced that a publisher has been selected for the newly formed DEFECT organization. It will be published 11 month out of the year. It will be called Defect World or Defect country(and no doctoring of photos will be allowed). A annual promotional issue will be printed entitled "Breed them all th....and let god sort them out"! An organizal outline has been put together. Instead of "the century club(breeders who register 100 or more head a year) there will be an award entitled"the c-section 10 club". Any breeder who 10 or more c-sects ayear will qualify. C-sects must be veryifyable if you do your own. However the c-sect cow must be registered as the same breed as the calf to get one point. A receip cow that has a c-sect due to a pha cow without papers will receive 3-4ths of a point for her effort. The c-sect does not have to kill cow but it is suggested. There will be a century club award for th calves. If a breeder has over 100 points they will be awarded the century club award. Cattle that are th carriers will receive one half of one point. Actual dead th afliccted calves will be arded a full point toward the accumulation of award points towards the century club award. An annual th breeder will be awarded every year and a person or firm will win the award. It will be judged on the breeders lifetime committment of raising not only carriers but deformed calves. This award will be selected by directors. On cases where said deformed calf may be a marble bone, hydrohead,or other defect I the ceo will make a final decesion. Incase of a dead deformed calve that was bith say th and marblebone...one full point will be awarded. However if a th deformed calf is also found to be pha deformed(not carrier) but deformed 2 full oints will be awarded for the daily double. We will have a supreme honor every year above the breeder of the year. It can be won more than once. The goal is to produce bulls that are carriers for 3 or more defects. Water head, marble bone,th,pha, and other terminal defects. It has been decided that darfism will not count cause this defet is normally not a terminal condition. Warhorse is the only known 3 star defect bull out there but we hope to id more them in the future. Our goal is to prduce a bull that is 5 star genetic defect carrier.hopefully we will produce the perfect beast a 5 star defect bull. However the sky is the limit. With the use of embryo transfer, dna profiling, and stringent linebreedeing a 8 star bull is in theory possible. Again...dwarfism doesn't count cause its normalyy not terminal and how stupid would a th dwarf look?geeze

Warhorse x TKA outcast x future direction x 598 x red angus

that would give you:
TH, PHA, Monkey mouth (From warhorse)
TH-(special deletion from outcast)
Hyrdro, Curly (from future direction)
fawn calf (from 598)
marble bone (from some red angus bull, could remember who exactly)

If you cross Warhorse and Outcast and get both deletions you have a dead calf (compound heterozygote) - I would pick one TH mutation

aj you said "An annual th breeder will be awarded every year and a person or firm will win the award. It will be judged on the breeders lifetime committment of raising not only carriers but deformed calves." is the beauty in raising TH deformed calves the lower input costs - lower feed, less work on the hair, don't have to register, fewer transportation costs (one time travel fee to the necropsy table) - I see the beauty of raising the great but dead at birth calf

If we could save a th calf. Repair the hernia..probably amputate the legs. Put it in a little wheel chair. We could have our little poster child(whoops) calf. We could slogan" my owner chose life for me....along with the breeder of last years Houston champion steer breeder(and three traders). If we could save one th calf life....wouldn't it be worth. Or "do it for the (ffa) chilren". As Larry the cable guy would say Amen.

AJ, I need some Improver semen to get started, and figured you should have a little left in your tank next to the D Stuff semen.  Send it over please.

How much do you need?  I have some as we bred 10 cows to him this summer (seriously).  I also have 10 units of TNT Duke 6R, but you can't have that....

We would also need a defect plus catagory.....for individuals not defect carriers but out of defect parents.. A home grown catagory for juniors. It is fairly easy to buy a th carrier but a real cattleperson should breed their own. Also for the junior's a special video photo contest of yanking out pha calves c_sections. Music could be added to give it a warm fuzzy feeling. Also a debate contest for the juniors designed to promote genetic defect cattle. Then could go on to become congressman and women. The options are endless. ;D
