Cedar  fiber is the best if you can get it. There really isn't any place to get it around here so we have to drive to pratt ks to get any or Texas if we are down there we usually buy a pallet or 2 and will last us a year or a little more.

Cedar fiber is 4.95 a bag (1.5 cu ft) right now at the manufacturer here in TX (Cedar Fiber Co.).

Wood pellets are by far the best thing we've ever used. Not much waste, it absorbs and you don't have to change it out nearly as often as shavings. Try it, you'll love it!

Ceder fiber, You don't replace it you just add to it. If you stay on top of it, you can keep it clean. We fluff it once a week and add a bedding powder that eliminates the ammonia.  We can tie three calves, and started with a dozen bags, we add a bag per calf every week or so.

We do clean the entire beeding out at the end of each show season, and start fresh each year.
