What fans work better in a cool room, turbo or the larger caged show barn fans.
Thanks

The drum would be a lot quieter if you have the room for it.  A fan mounted on the wall blowing down at an angle might keep the cold air flowing across the cattle better though.

We are just planning on putting a fan and mounting it up on a 2 x 4. What cool room routines and temps do you guys have? This is my first experience with a cool room...

I would first start by working backwards.  What type of insulation do you have?  If you are truly going to build a cool room, you will be throwing money into the wind without insulation.

Cost of electricity sure isn't getting any cheaper.

What does the larger cage on the show barn fan do. Is the purpose of a bigger cage to reduce noise and does it increase or decrease air speed because both fans have the same horsepower motor and the same cage size.

The bigger barn fans create more air flow with its different blades, the smaller fans just move the air faster
