Cunia

I know Cunia is used for replacement females but I would like to know what he works best on? How big is he Frame wise? Would the steers be wortha hoot? The feamle we are thinking of flushing him to is a big boned, well muscled, and really hairy cow. Could stand to be prettied up some. Thanks alot

He defiantly won't pretty one up!  He will actually make a pretty one kinda ugly!  Use on a pretty female, that is deep bodied, and keep all the heifers, just make sure that all their feet point the right way. They have a tendency tp look like him.  Give them a couple years then they look better

Cunia IMO is the "achieles heel" of show type cattle. The first Cunia sired cattle I saw and even bought were out of dairy cows. Mostly Guernsey's. I don't believe there was a bull at the time that could downsize and thickin one up better. Monkey mouth, toes turning out, SP, etc. are what he can throw if you inbreed his genetics. I attribute a lot of modern-day defects with Cunia because of too much influence in pedigrees. This is after 30+ years of unscientific observation. I did own a cow that traced back to Cunia twenty-eight times. She was great to look at, but I could never get her bred. Shipped her and was sad for months.
