Great day today wandering through the Shorthorn bull pens. Some really outstanding individuals as well as groups for the pen show tomorrow. It was exciting to see some of the new genetics which are currently being promoted and how well they are working for seedstock producers.
Only a few ShorthornPlus pens, was a bit surprised however not to see any Durham Reds given the recent push for this crossbred. I was really looking forward to seeing this after my long trip from down under (or Canada if you believe some sources- whatever it's been a long trip!).
Will try to post some photos over the next few days, otherwise they'll definitely be coming when I get home.  (thumbsup)

Yes, I'm sure the pen show should be great! Jamie arrived there this evening. He and Bill Huber drove down so I expect you should run into him shortly. Have fun!

Were the cattle worthy of your inspection? How must the USA breeders improve there overall production in order to compete with Canada? Or maybe this...........what must Cherry county Nebraska do to overtake Canada's beef production?

Any pics yet?? I was curious also of your thoughts on the GFS Creole son from Homedale in their Pen of 3? I saw that Genex purchased/leased semen rights. Did you have a chance to observe him at all? Thanks for your input.
