We had our first Milk Man calf this week. She was 75lbs. I was absolutely amazed. I was expecting a 100lb calf at least. She is out of a half Maine cow. Has anyone else had any MM calves this year? I would love to see some pics if you have. Let me know what you think of this little girl.

I am definetly going to keep the pics coming. I still have to get some pics of our Rocky Balboa, Golden Child, and Heatwave calves that we already have on the ground. Hoping to have another MM clave this week.

Awesome looking calf- Ive been bragging up Milkman on here for like a year or so after my son spent time down in Texas where the bull used to live, and
especially since we had that milkman steer we raised, this helps to lend to my bragging about the embryos we are trying to sell from the cow we own and
milkman.  Im glad birthweights are low too.  Again awesome calf.  Love the color

Thanks for the compliments. I was very surprised/tickled to see the color on this calf. Not only is she colored up, but she is thick. I can't wait to see the rest of our MM calves. I have been meaning to ask SP what our family can do to better market our cattle. We have done pretty well marketing our cattle locally here in Arkansas, but I don't know if yall know it or not but AR doesn't have a very good rep for producing nationally competitive show cattle. I would love to see our cattle in the hands of people who will do more with them than just take them to county fair.

I had one last year that look similar & everyone calls it a rat tail, our's is not good enough to be called a smoke. LOL. If I were thinking about breeding these type of heifers, I would make sure that the bull is non diluter either black or red. Nice looking little MM otherwise. Does the rat tail come out easily on Maine cross cows?
