Good news for Warrior!

I just read in the newspaper that the Grand Champion steer at Fort Worth was bought by an oil company and they
donated the calf to the Fort Worth Zoo!  What a happy ending for all involved!  I know we tend to get too attatched to
our show animals knowing  what they are raised for but you always hope for something like this to happen! 
I hope that he will be happy there, live a long life and maybe be used for educational purposes.

That is good news - that poor girl on the video looked like she was going to start crying after she talked about him going to the sale, made me want to cry with her..... (cow)

Hey, I totally agree....you can just tell that she was "attached" to him.  She will feel better once she gets the money!!

Well Im attached to them but I haven't seen a single calf that isn't a but at least once in their life. Thats what makes me feel ok bout it. Plus it means a calf off my feed bill.

Ohhh, but still the thought that you spend nearly a whole year with them....to bad they dont come with social security numbers! 
If they did I could still claim a dependent for another 17 years!

I wish my steer I showed last year would have went to the zoo, then I could go visit him in the summer. He went to resale instead so I have idea were he ended up.
