I understand that the normal cycle is 18-21 days with I am guessing more leaning to 21st day.... So when you count days for different heat cycles would your count  be 21 , 42, 63 and so on.

also was curious what everyone thinks is the typical number of days after calving does cows come back into good heat? thanks for any information on these topics

Most of my cows will cycle at 21 days after standing heat.  60 days is optimal, IMO, for a re-breeding cycle, but when trying to "move one up" I'll synch and AI at about 40 days post calving.

Same here. They need at least 40 days post calving before you synch them or can expect to see a good solid heat out of them.
