I know this is a recurring question but need tips on weight

Ok as the title says I know this always is a question that constantly comes around on here. But I'm gonna ask anyway, we have two steers that I need some help with getting them to a goal weight. Forgive me I haven't weighed them recently but I know my rough guess isn't far off.

First steer:
Weighs between 950 to 960 as of today.

Second steer:
Weighs between 990 to 1000 as off today.

We have a show coming up January 20th

I would like to see them at these weights -

First steer: 1100 to 1120 by January 20th

Second steer : 1180 to 1200 by January 20th

My question is this a realistic goal?

How can I up my chances of achieving it?

If it's not why not? And tell me what is.

Just so everyone knows the ration they are being fed the last 4 tons of feed we bought was the following mixture:

3328.84lbs of Rolled Corn

1253.02lbs of Soybean Hull Pellets

1253.02lbs of Corn Gluten

1190.36lbs cottonseed hulls

626.51lbs of 48% Soybean Meal

417.67lbs of Whole Oats

208.84lbs Liquid Molasses

62lbs of Calcium

4lbs trace minerals

4lbs bioflex minerals

4 lbs vitamins A, D and E

2lbs of Bovatec 91gr


Between the two steers they are cleaning up 60lbs per day.

No we aren't holding we are feeding them what they will clean up. Right now they are cleaning up 60lbs per day.

From the math I've done they are right at 2.5lbs of average daily gain

With 51 days to go, they need to be at 3.3 & 3.7. I don't think it's unrealistic but hopefully someone a little more knowledgeable will chime in.

I'm fighting just the opposite. Steers are gaining right at 3.8 with 150 days to go lol.

I can't get them to eat any more than the 60lbs per day. I had ment to buy stabilized rice bran the beginning of the month but we've had some family emergencies come up and that has set things back. I'm gonna try to grab a bag no later than Sunday and get them started on that.

As far as our feed mix goes that I listed above what changes could we make to it that might make it better?
