I am getting ready to order Revalor S, I want to make sure that this is the best implant to use on steers.  What can I expect how soon should I expect it.  Any info at all would be great.

Thanks

Mommacow, you still haven't told me about the dogs yet, although dogs is a bad word right now for me!

Here is some information on the implants.

Implants for FFA or 4H projects are sometimes not allowed.  Check with your extension office or ag advisor.  If you sign a wholesome meat waiver to get into your market sale, you are guaranteeing non-hormone influenced product.

No offense, but I'd check that reference to most states.  They are not illegal in Texas.  As they are legal for use in cattle coming out of feedlots, they are legal for use at our major terminal shows and we've used them for years and had cattle win that did get tested.  Revalor S is the only one we use now - about 60 days out from terminal show.  Caution - steers may get a little ornery and if you have structural issues it is likely to make them worse.
