Just asking, we have a few IW calves being born & so far they have all been 70+or- lbs and shaped right for birth. Any of you that have experience with IW, what do you think about using him on heifers? Could he be a lot worse than some of the "CALVING EASE" bulls?

All of my Irish Whiskey calves have come small.  Biggest was around 70 pounds.  I have a Chill Factor Donor that had a Irish Whiskey Bull calf that weighed 50 at birth, then grew like crazy after he got here.  Sold him as a bull and all of his calves have been in that 50-60 pound range.

Jill have you used him on heifers at all? The calves that we have gotten so far have all been good shaped for calving ease and I am tempted to try him on heifers. I have liked all that I have seen so far on a variety of cows.
