is it to late?

My daughter has a show calf for the first time, and are fair is in 73 days, her calf  looks good , but we didn't know that we needed to have him wormed. Is it to late to worm him? And if not what should we use and how often?

We use Safeguard paste to worm. Usually we worm shortly after they're weaned.
Is it a market animal? Need to check withdrawls on any product if they are. They usually go off feed for a day after worming in my experience but bounce back quickly. I don't think it would be too late providing no withdrawl time needed.

I guess I prefer a paste over a pour-on because I've had the pour-on burn hair sometimes. You can also buy it in feed grandules to add to the feed.

I say paste as well.  We tried the granules in the feed, but it turns out that our calves didn't really like them and we had to change up the feed a little bit before they would eat again.

Cydectin pour-on has no withdrawal time.  Never had a problem with scaling afterwords, but I guess its possible.

if they use a pour-on how long before wash/rinse?
Ivomec can cause burn the hair on the top-line some.

When we use a pour-on, we wait two days before we rinse/wash again.
