I am thinking about flushing a purebred shorthorn to Vortec. What thoughts do any of you have about him? We were also considering using Little Cedar Aviator...Maybe both if the first flush goes well.

What kind of cow are you planning to flush?  IMHO  Vortec is a very good bull!!    We have had good success with our Vortec heifers in the show ring and as cows.  I am considering using him a second time to flush our Myrtle Bo cow.  Good luck!!

I posted a picture of this cow on her several months ago and we ended up flushing her to Jake's Proud Jazz and got 12 freezable embryos. We are hoping to flush her twice more in the coming months and put her out to pasture (she is getting to be an old gal.) I have really liked some of the calves from Vortec and was hoping to get some input from people who have used him.
