Pretty cool - dual purpose has a whole new meaning.

Imagine what a mid 80's Angus or Chi could clear!
I have seen first hand what a mid 80's Chi could clear 7 foot no worries. No one on their back though you could not get that close.

lol can you imagine this cow arriving at a horse jumping competion? (clapping) Give a whole bunch of those snooty rich girls a run for their money, it probably would beat a 40k plus showjumper (lol) Just thinking what would drive someone to think..hey i wanna train a cow for me to ride, and what was she on to train it to jump? Ive rode horses for over 15 years also trained but I wouldnt do this

Well...knowing from experience (hint the username). I broke my heifer to ride because she is a reject mutt bottle calf and stood no chance at my 4-H show and I wanted to be known as someone other than the girl with the butt fugly heifer. It made me feel really proud of what I had done when the judge commented on how much I had to work with her as well as all the old timers who got a hoot out of it...

One of my horse showing friends was going to come and help me train her to jump...but since the hfr is smart enough to untie herself, slip off neck ropes, and undo gates I figured I better not because she would then jump out of the pasture...even more!  As well as the fact she was preggers when we came up with it.

After I saw this...I will have something better for you guys when this fall's calf gets old enough to start riding...I promise It will be better. I'm thinking maybe a whole course...or speed events? Suggestions?

arena race and barrel race, I have a yearling bull that I think could make any quarter horse work to win the money :)

There's a use for those 80's cattle with 9 foot long legs after all!!!
