This sounds like it is very likely what we all call EED -- Early Embryonic Death.
There aremany factors that make or break a pregnancy. Some times, it takes VERY little to kill one, wheather it is enviromental stress , change of feed, infection, heat -- etc!
I have never seen a program that uses a 3 day Cidr insertion. That makes absolutely no sense from a repro standpoint, due inpart to the fact that if a cow was inheat a doy before insertion, she will NOT have had time to rebuild a CL before you took them out and gave prostoglandin -- thus inducing regresion anda new heat. Unless a cow has afunctional CL on that day, she will NOT respond to the shot of Lutelyse or Estrumate. Period
She has either failed to maintain pregnancy, or was never inheat to begin with when he bred her (Most likely the case from breeding a timed event) and has just sycled on her own now. Either way she is open, a pregnant cow will never show a large amount of clear mucus like your's just did!
Chalk it up to the good old pasture UNIVERSITY -- hehehehe
Good luck with the rest of them!
