everything's in the toilet.  just kidding.

just installed two of these babies and they are awesome.

http://www.homeclick.com/web/catalog/product_detail.aspx?pid=254645

notice they are 16" high instead of 14", they have an elongated rim, and a 1.28 gpf.

the toilets they replaced used 2.5 or so gallons and required multiple flushes.

no more poopies!  since i have a leach line, i've been dying to have a good low flow toilet.

if you want a little extra water, keep holding down the lever.

by the way, the 16" height means it's easier to get up.  small kids may have to adjust a little to get up.

forgot to add that the seat and  lid has a damper, so it NEVER comes crashing down!!!!

after the inauguration , i may need to take a dump of epic proportion.  saving water is the skin i'm willing to offer, not to mention the epithelial cells lining my insides.  now that i think about it, it could go either way (out of me).

also notice, that toto is manufactured in the US, but is a japanese company.

I'd like one of those toilets that incinerates the poop.

But my wife won't let me put in in the house ;D

That really is a good lookin toilet, Knabe. How comfortable is the seat? You might want to read the newspaper after the inauguration.  ;D ;D

I also installed a new lowflow toilet.  It's a Kholer, 1.6 gal/flush, "comfort height", Cimmeron model.  Wonderful thing and can be bought at Home Depot.

the seat is a little different.  it slopes a little towards the bowl than most seats.  also, you have to sit a little more forward, otherwise the poopies land on the back side of the bowl and are difficult to rinse clean to satisfy the women folk.  that's probably the biggest complaint with low flows is the bowl water surface area.  probably the one with lowest surface area, are the dual flush models from australia that my sister has.  also, some low flows have a pretty good whoosh, and spray water upwards, which, um, can be a little unsettling, which is why my sister does a "courtesy" flush first using the #1 flush instead of #2.

ugh.

awesome!!

maybe -0.2 gpf toilets are coming where the moisture is extracted from one's waste, just like in the space station.

water molecule is a water molecule.

sort of off topic but the pictures reminded me of something. How many of you used an outhouse growing up? I think the hubby's family had one until he was 5-6 years old.

No such problems with the Kholer.  Just sit, go, flush.  Sounds funny but "poopies" don't land anywhere they're not supposed to.  Gotta say, I don't want to have to think and/or plan so much to do what comes naturally as yours seems to require!  "Courtesy flush", sheesh!
