I have a Reimann's firewater X ali x hoodoo heifer that I want to AI this fall. I'm looking for a pb or high % maine to bred her to. She's good legged and footed, moderate, and good bodied/ribbed, and feminine headed without having an narrow I-80 skull but she's a bit plain as far as looks goes(deeper chested, doesn't tie in her neck that high) and needs a shot more width. Not wanting to breed her to I-80 but open to one of his sons. Any suggestions welcome.

If you can find it, Dual Threat 50% Maine and 10% Chi.  He is an I-80 son out of Onset's full sister.  They are good either way.  Minneart's Class on Class looks like he is going to make some really good offspring from the early reports from him.  Making Time from Griswold or his sire, Maternal Made, should also make good steers or heifers.

Really think this O'hara bred bull is flat awesome and has a different pedigree. A good amount of power here.

ZNT Montego Bay and BK Ferris are both awesome as well. Pedigrees AMAA.

Knabe. There may be some things you could change about him but he's hard to poke a hole in. He has what most Maine's don't have. Love the cow families, packed full of some the best cows in the breed. I think he's a good one.  <cowboy>

Did they photo shop his brisket?
I doubt it. He was super fronted in the original pics I saw of him (cell phone pics). But that would be a question for the owner to answer

Gargan- Like that guys pedigree too. Line bred to the great Katie (Chi x Maine) cow is a giant plus. Katie was one of the the most awesomely unforgettable looking beef animals I have ever seen.

Knabe- Also of note on the O'hara bull... He traces back to that Vainquere and Fabio that you like through the TLM perfix. And also goes back to the MVH Miss Resolution cow that many thought was the best beef cow walking.

I saw ML MVP at Nichols a short while ago and was really impressed. My thought was if the Maine Anjou breed wants to be relative in the real world this bull needs to be used. I haven't studied his numbers at all as far as being heifer safe. link to the bull below.

Another super bull CAB. Good pedigree.

There is more than a handful of options when it comes to Maine genetics.

MVP's sire was penned right beside him and he is a very good bull but I liked MVP quite a bit more. Deep soft sided bull.

Doc-sun, like the pics. Heifer looks really sweet. What percentage? Like the short markings as well.
