I think this bull has alot of genetic potential and could really put out some nice females. Any calves on the ground yet?

I used him on some cows.  Talked to Willie Morris and reports have been very managable birthweights and very vigorous calves.  I'm hoping for females, but with my luck I'll get bulls lol.  Last year 27 bulls 3 heifers.  ugh!

He is one of them I had flagged for this year, he looks like he could sire some tremendous females.

He was the only "new" bull I used this past year.  Let's hope we got them to stick.  With his pedigree they should be awesome females.  Plus I'm a sucker for a baldie lol

I'm just surprised we didn't hear more about him.

I noticed him in an ad in Livestock Plus Magazine and I think 1 person on this board pointed out they liked him and that is all I have heard about him.  I have the magazine sitting here in my office open to that page for this years semen order.

I was at the sale last Spring that he sold on.

The breeder collected semen but never promoted a full brother that is a year older.  He had a few heifers out of the full brother that were very nice, IMO.  Had one at the Nebraska State fair open feeder show.  This heifer was out of a commercial Angus cow.  Very nice.

Willie Morris Cattle Service has him.  I know is Maximus (I think that's his name) has sexed semen, not sure if Mama's Boy has it yet.  Willie was really good at returning my phone calls and emails, don't hesitate to contact him.  Seemed like a nice guy.

[/quoteThe full Brother to Mommas Boy is named Spotlight.  I just found out, the heifer I spoke of out of a commercial Angus cow was on Guyer's sale and sold for around $ 12,000.  This bull looks like he could be a pretty good one.
