Mulch question

Hello, my fair is in a little over a month and this year my steer has a white belly/ some on legs and I want to use black mulch but I was wondering in a certain kind would die his white black or give it a tint any suggestions on what kind to get or just any?

It would look really cool to bed in Black Mulch!  Unless your calves are pure black, I would not do it.  Anytime I have used black mulch, I have ended up with black dye from my fingertips to my elbows.

If you just have one head to bed menards has what is called eco mulch in a bag its always on sale and 4 bags will do one head. Cost you 8 bucks or less. Its easy for us since we don't have a local place to get it in bulk.
