This is my heifer. She a yearling was bred to a black Limmy flex bull. Her paper work should be here any day. Including a copy of the bulls pedigree I will post more pics and info as I get it. I will post a pic of the bull as well.

I need names for her as well.

I can't really help you with names. But the heifer looks good adequate amount of depth, adequate bone, with great muscle. Like NHR said she is round hipped which can be attributed to her breed not knowing bloodlines, I'm going to assume shes a little older genetics and not the new showier limousin genetics, there is nothing wrong with that just depends on the judge but overall an awesome heifer! Good luck with her!

Thank you! When she. Comes home i'll take better pics. The only problem I have is she isn't halter trained. I basically have a whole year until her show. Shell be shown as a cow calf pair in July or August. Do you think I'll be able to train her with out stressing her out?

Thanks again.
Lindsey..

Nice heifer, when you get her home put her in a small coral, 24*24 and just feed her and talk to her for the first week or so. If you have a cow at home who is already tame, pen them next to each other so she has company. Once she settles down and gets used to her surroundings you can start working on halter breaking her, I have found that the ones who like feed are real easy to get a halter on, we just slip it on them while their eating. You have a year, take your time and work at it a little each day she should be fine. Some will fight the halter, fall down, at like a fool, but once they get used to the halter the majority of them will fine in no time.

As far as naming her, just wait until you get her home, withen a week you will have a name for her. It may come from her personality, attitude, or something she does, but in the end they usually have a way of helping you come up with a name. Sometimes there positive sometimes there not, I have seen Bucket Head, calf got his head stuck in a bucket, Miss Pris, heifer would not go out in the rain, Rainman, steer was just special, PITA, self explanatory, Dinner Bell, no matter where heifer was in the pasture, she's always the first one to the feed bunk.

Welcome to the Family! Glad you decided to get in on the Limis. She looks very functional, but its hard to tell much more than that from the pic. Also, she is a red Limi, so you might as well get used to people saying she lacks style- around here that is code for not black and not enough hair. It sucks and isn't always correct, but I've drug around enough red ones to know how it usually goes. Best of luck and be sure to post new pics when you get them! <rock>
