hunter any given team can win on any given day, examples  texas vs neb big12 championship, texas goes in heavy favorite, osborne has them throw a t.d on 4th and 1. nebraska wins. boise state beat oklahoma, texas a&m beats k state when they had bishopat q.b.florida gets beat my ole miss and navy beats nd.texas will hold its own,but they better stop that stud at running back.rusty

Mr. Suh is a stud!  He represents not only the best player on his team, but the best defender in the country.  This should get him in invite.... at least.  I personally think he should win because his consistency this season has been second to none.  No other defender draws double and triple teams like Suh and he still continues to get his numbers.  I can't remember a bad game for him like the other candidates have hung up this year.  Even a mediocre game for him would be a career game for most    d-tackles.

I thought this was a Heisman poll....

Given the competition played, the mvp for their team, the most consistence, I would vote [1] Shu [2] Spiller] [3] Gebhart [4] Ingram [5] McCoy [6] Tebow and throw in the quarterback from Houston for fun.

one other thought,SUH is not the only canidate from the region. You have to remember voters are not just from the Midwest. He may carry his region, but doubtful,McCoy will be in there.I think the kid from BAMA in a photo finish, Suh if invited finishes 4th at best.rusty

i like those top three as the players that mean the most to their teams and thus the mvps. i voted for gerhart just because he played his best when it really mattered. spiller was the most dynamic scoring at least one touchdown in every game (that to me is amazing versatility), and i just respect suh for being so dominant on the line. the last d tackle i can remember getting any hype was glen dorsey from lsu and i don't think he can even compete with suh. if suh doesn't get it, i think he will laugh last by getting drafted higher than the others.

Sadly to say, the Heisman is a joke. it is suppose to go to the best football player of the year, no matter what the posistion. I watch and attend football games from the Big 12, Big 10, and occasionally from the S.E.C. and once a year from the pac 10. I know the kid from nebr. won't win the trophy, but he should , based on what he done for his team. There are alot of good running backs. There are a few good quarterbacks, but there are NO offensive or defensive lineman that compares to Shu. For his position,he dominated all year long like no other at any other position.

I've been saying for months that I thought Suh was the best college football player in the country & he'd definitely get my vote...... but I ain't got a vote and they're not gonna ask my opinion.  In my opinion, he'll be the most dominating player in this year's draft on either side of the ball but the Heisman will probably go to the running back from Bama.

from what I have seen McCoy and Gerhert are the favorites.  I had to vote for Gerhert.  He is the best offensive player this year on a team like Stanford he has a huge impact on there success much like Suh at Neb.
