Hi everyone, I don't know if anybody watches Nashville Star this season it is on NBC on Monday nights @ 8:00 central time (my time) there is a young man on there named Gabe Garcia.  He is from a little town in South Central Texas called Lytle, Texas.  It is a neighboring town to us, I don't know him but my sister does, she said he is the nicest young man you could ever meet.  I think he blows all the other singers out of the water, I think there are other good singers but he is the best, I think!!!!  Just my opinion, if you have watched and like him please vote would like to see a good kid that has had some tough breaks in life ( he lost his father in October of last year) have a chance at a record deal and making it big.  If you have not watched, check him out.  You can also go to his website www.gabegarciaband.com.  Thanks
:) ;) :D ;D 8)

What variety of Country Music does he sing? Modern, Pop, Traditional, or "Outlaw"?

He sings traditional country and what I would call Texas Country (outlaw) check out his website he has cut 2 cd's and you can listen to clips of them.  The first week on the show he sang All My Ex's Live in Texas, it was great!!  Have you ever watched Nashville Star.

I am not trying to be mean, but I watched it twice. Both times I thought the vocal quality compared to American idol just wasn't there. Kelly pickler, Carrie, Josh, Bucky. These kids can sing. I am just not getting it with nashville star. I thought "pop night" was horrible. The girl group that harmonized was the best i have heard so far.

I agree with the vocal quality of the contestants, but I think Gabe could compete on American Idol, he seems a little shy but if you would see him put on a show like I have, you would understand.  Nashville Star is not as good as other seasons but I do hope Gabe does well.  Like I said before he is a good kid that deserves a break!!!!!!!!! ;)

That part of Texas has more hidden talent than anywhere else, except maybe the exremely isolated areas of Appalachia. Glad to see someone under 30 knows what traditional Country Music is. Did he grow up listneing/performing Nortena/Tejano, too? That was Johnny Rodriguez' original vocal training, and, it did well for him in Country Music.

I think he does a little Tejano, but mostly traditional country.  I think he will be the next big thing.  If you have a chance vote for him on Monday!!!!!!! Did you go to his website and listen to his cd?
I am glad I found someone on steer planet that can appreciate that good ole traditional country music! ;)
Take care!!

I only think one girl in the whole deal can sing and I can't remember her name. I don't know what has happened to it this year. Miranda Lambert was down the list the year she was on it. This year just doesn't seem to be anyone of that caliber.

I have watched the show a few times and I think that Gabe is definitely the best male vocalist on the show. I think he has some potential!

I agree the quality of the contestants is not all that great.
