I haven't seen him in person personally, but he has a really cool look in his yearling photo.  He sold at the Tennessee Agribition back in 2008 for $21,000 to Clearwater.  There was an embryo package with him at the OBE, and some full sib embryos at Tennessee again this year.

He has a ton of white on him, but he looks to be a possible outcross option in the future.

Yup, saw him, owner lives about 30 min from me.. Super good bull, especially for a PB... Blaze face, and slight "socks' for a lack of better word....  Really used heavily last year on Angus based cows for Blaze face replacements.. I think Hudson Pines maybe, and another big outfit... Not sure of name...  Real nice bull not a hole in him.. Super stout, thick, correct, and sound..

Might be the next great one..

ALSO.. his owner also produced "Trademark"... So would say this bull was created to be real deal-- and he should prove that too!  Trademark worked. Why couldn't this bull? who was created with under the same philosophies...

Trademarked "worked"?
ah, not here he did not.  He is fine as a heifer bull but there are sure better.
We used 20 units/year for the first two years he was out; then found we
could do much better with others.

Would hesitate with this bull because he
1) is a Trademark
2)has white socks

We run the majority pb Simmi cows; balance commericail for club calves and receipts.

Ok, this is a little off topic, but does anyone know anything about this company, they have their main corporate office about 10 minutes from my house and I was just curious about their cattle lines.  Thanks

I am sure glad i saw this post. I had no clue he had white socks and will never use him for that fact.  This is just my opinion but it is a pretty unethical deal to paint over white socks on a bull just to sell semen you might as well dye a red one black to sell more semen on him to, this is just from me reading he has white socks as i have not seen Rendition but if that is true then i stand by my opinion fully. Also we have had very good luck with Trademark as he works extremely well on Dream On daughters and the breeder of Rendition is not the breeder of Trademark the breeder of Trademark is Sunset View Farms and Wind Rose Farms.

He doesn't have white socks on the back I know FOR sure, he mearly has some white "specks" of hair.. small patches about the size of a quarter, right above the cloven part of hoof... I mearly said "for lack of a better word"...  Can't remember what he has on front, thinking something of similar, or they are solid black

Ok understand about the socks I appreciate the info. I was picturing like an inch or so band of white.  The beef with socks is that we personally as an operation prefer no white except on face and the occasionaly little bit on the belly.  We are not in the business of sellin show steers and prefer to sell breeding bulls when the animal will fit the part and bulls with alot of white and white on legs don't fly with too many commercial guys around my neck of the woods cause the more black the better at the sale barn and i personally would not by a heifer with white socks either unless she was an absolute steal at a sale or i just need her for a recip cow.

Not that it makes any difference to me about the white on his back legs. I knew that Rendition has a little white on his back legs, & I personally would prefer a little white on his back legs. The old timers say that if you want a bull to throw bald faced calves he has to have white on his back legs whether it be a hereford, Simi, or Holstein. Right now here in the midwest that BWF female is the hottest thing going. I know that is not very scientific, but I will listen to the old boys anytime they want to share their knowledge.

The Eby family is involved in a lot of different businesses. Assisted living is one of them. I think construction is another. Then there is also the Ranch. Previously they were extremely involved in Gelbvieh and Balancer cattle, but felt they maxed out there, so have switched their focus back to Angus. There plan is continue to focus on the Angus herd, have a few SimAngus and become a major supplier of commercial Angus cross females. Their sale is on April 18, Clint Woodrow is the manager there. Some of the Angus females in the sale are bred t o Rendition.

If you go to the Eby web site, it says that they are having a big sale March 28th. Brent

Clint Woodrow, is that Glen Woodrow's son???? I don't know Woody's sons name, but I do know that where ever he is manager at, used Redition quite heavily on Angus cows.  Bred like 100 to him or something.. Also, know that he was somehow involved with Hudson Pines, I think.. NOt sure, but think that might be that ranches connection with this bull
