Here is a calf that was born yesterday..  He is supposed to be a Hard Core, his mom is a 3/4 simm cow by Franchise.

like I told you earlier, we had a red calf out of him & a black cow. Yes, I know he's the sire because she was only AI'd & no bulls here.

Thanks Red!     He has to be by the AI sire.   The date is right and he is certainly too big to be an early calf by our bull - which would be a homozygous black bull.

yeah hard core is definitely heterozygous black so u dont really know what u are goin to get unless u know the dam is homo black, but even then, all that does is up ur chances. Nice calf though good luck with him!

He's a cutie. He should make an awesome show steer!

He looks grey on my computer screen. Isn't that color caused by the diluter gene?

Yes. Good Calf... lots of bone.. lots of area to grow.. could be real real good!!      When you say Franchise... Is that a charloais bull??

He's not listed as homo black. Since I've seen several red calves from him & also have one I know he can throw color.
