Big, stout calf. Gets much bigger, he's going to have to get on his knees or get a chiropractor. What is he? Definitely a good weaning to cow to size ratio.

Nice calf and beautiful landscape! We were still getting snow last week... I'm ready to see grass like that again!

WOW! Nothing better than a cow that can raise a calf as big as herself and still maintain her condition!

Btw, your scenery looks awesome. Wish we had grass like that around here this time of year!

Cow is just some horned red cow purchased at sale barn purchased a couple years ago.


Cow has no discernible bag.


Calf is either by a corsair angus bull or a bull that is 1/2 Maine, the other half occ Nightwatch. 


Area is halfway between Hollister and pinnacles national park.


Grass will dry up soon. Grass is a mix of smooth brome, filaree, wild oats , fire weed, Russian thistle, foxtail, vetch, but clover, and other odd , non-native species. If native perennial grasses, clovers were there, they would stay green a lot longer and be better, stronger feed. When lush, cows can seem like ey practically starve to death in knee deep grass as water content is too high.

Good looking cow to be sale barn held up very well:and hell of a nice  caf so thats a dam good cow no matter what she is-GOT ANY PICS LATELY WHERE YOU HAVE SOME IDEA WHAT THEY ARE? or are you joining the ranks of commercial guys that just like good cattle? O0 O0

That part limmy cow and mongrel calf are the poster child (and cow) for GENETIC IMPURITY  and irresponsible and  unknowledgeable breeding-probably one of the best cows ever posted on here-i"d take a field of mutts like her -I"d buy embryos on her O0
