I'll look forward to seeing all of you that can attend!! I hear we have calves coming from all over Iowa, MN and even a few(Shebet) from Wisconsin. Ryan Haberger is the judge and it will be kind of sad not seeing Kent at the show. We should have some really, really nice prospects and I'm sure the show will be very competitive. I hope you'll all enjoy the rest of the fair while you are here. We've made lots of improvements(black top drives, camping sites, a waterfall, new restrooms and showers, a new Kiddie Barn, a chicken barn that can be used as a heated wash area for cold weather sales, etc. We should be well set for the fall sales--we'll be hosting our club calf sale as well as at least two more breed sales (Simmental and Charolais)this fall. I've heard that the fair board has been in discussions with one or two others as well.
For those of you from Canada---I could probably find you a room to stay over for a couple days and you could take in the junior show on Saturday as well. Heck, we could probably make it several evenings if you want to. If you like to gamble(more than in the cattle business anyway) the casino is only three miles from our front door. You're always welcome, JIT, and any other SP folks as well--Canadian or any other breed!!
