Thanks TGCC and MCC. It was great for the stud to get some publicity although I was not expecting to see it on Steer Planet. Also for those who think show cattle will not hang up some of you may remember the steer I entered in a carcase comp last year. Both the steer and the bull are flush brothers born a year apart.

One had top points on the rail and one All Breeds Champion Bull NOW THAT IS COOL  (thumbsup)

The steer was
15 months old
dressed at 341kg  = 751.77 lbs.
eye muscle area of 98 square cm = 15.19 sq. inches
10 mm of fat = 0.393 inches
Marble score 4 (Scores 0 to 9 ) (9 would be 500 day Wagyu)
93.6 Points out of 100 3 points ahead of the next animal
The problem was the comp top weight was 340kg

  • The Steer
  • The carcase. More important than a pretty animal in $$$ in the end to the commercial man
  • The Bull

Congrats!  Very nice cattle.  Glad to see they can not only look pretty, but do what cattle are supposed to do.  Keep up the good work.
