Well, all of our cows were AI bred around June 23rd and the bull was turned out July 23rd. All of our calves ened up being bull bred calves, born between March 9th-18th. All except one cow, we just though she was bred late because she got bigger when the other cows did and made plenty of milk, but no calf. About a weeks ago my dog, (which drags everything into our yard) brung in a calfs leg. Is there maybe a way that that cow has aborted her calf and just passed it ?

First off, as the post above eluded too -- your DUE date for June 23 breeding would be no soner that 4-1 to 4-5 depending on breed used. You mentioned your cows ALL calved to the bull -- but were from 3-9 to 3-19, that would be theoreticaly impossible. I could see some of them going to April 9 -- but the last few were certinly past any normal over-due dates. However, they would ALL still be WAY early from your mentioned 7-23 release date for the bull. Might want to recheck your dates and repostso we all can stop wondering.

The cow that bagged up but never calved, my guess wuld also be that she lost it during birth or may have aborted a smaller premie close to due date. The LEG and DOG are dead giveaways for that scenario too!

Post back if you would nd try to clarify your dates if possible, it would make more sense tome any way!

Good luck from her on -- Terry
