We are wondering what everyone thinks is the best mating possible for Red Knight.  We had one plan, but have maybe a different idea depending on what you all think he would work best on.  I  don't really care about breeds, as much as I do what type of cows.

Ivy leagues mom. No joke. Steermaker was about the fourth best calf from a dividend cow and red knight. He also worked real well on angus cows for clubby moms. Seems to me you would use him just like you would his sire.

A real good Shorthorn cow is probably the safest route to go IMO.  Color of cow should be an issue if you want to capitalise on your investment. You just don't have to worry about color with a Shorthorn mating. A straight bred Angus would be my second choice only because I like solid black and no socks.
