It was a pretty good sale.  I left my catalog in my Mom's truck or I could give you the results.  1a -- 11,500  1b -- 5,500

Who bought lots 1a and 1b??????????

Lot 1a went to someone in Canada & 1b went to Byland. IMO , 1a appeared to have been presold because they had a nice premade stall card with the new owners name on it. Whereas 1b bull, they only had a handwritten sign the next morning. If that is not the case it sure gave the impression of that. The best bull & the best buy (IMO) was the lot 3 bull, which was purchased by Martindell farms.

1a was purchased by Maple Stone Farm ( Robert and Carolyn Ridler), Orton, ON. I am sure the sale was real money, but whether it was presold or not, I would have no idea. The Ridlers have been purchased a number of Shorthorns in the past 2-3 years. They are best known for their herd of Clydesdales and they have been very successful with them.

Don't know for a fact that he was presold. Just saying that Loyd Wright was doing the bidding & they already had a sign made up. And somewhere in there I think I heard a duck quacking.

I agree with Doc. That lot 3 bull sure looked cool to me. Even his name was right up my alley. I guess a 11,500 bull looks good in the sale report.  I got a bull for sale. First person to show up with 10 grand gets him. He had a 82 lb bw.

An $11,500 bull looks better in person than he does in a sale report.  He was a very good bull and the sale was real - I know there were at least two others bidding on him.
