his photo looks awesome...I heard he was a big bull but all that really matters is his calves.  I have "heard" they were pretty good but only "heard" this.  to me he looks like he would really work...??

thanks..I have seen that but just not enough info from one pic of a heifer...i would not use him based on that pic but do not feel it is fair to the bull...not a bad heifer but just not enough info...

Ya, I like to see a bunch of calves out of a bull before I use him. I really liked that heifer there sired by him. You could always call the owners of the bull and ask him if they had pics of his calves. That'd be your best bet.

3rd overall at Michigan Beef  Expo Steer show was a market heifer that was a shake and bake. It was sold by Dave Sutherly.

Shake is another bull that has flown under the radar. Some of you youngun"s will learn that sometimes bulls don't get mentioned much because for the first coupla years they are being used by folks that might say the calves are out of something other than what they are really out of,or they won't tell you period.Shake has been around for more than two years, He, like DONNIE,HOMEBREW, ALL ABOUT YOU,TOTALLY TUNED,MOJO and a few others are as good or better as anything on the market today.I know cause ,myself and others still use these bulls with success.If you don't think so, go to Glovers in Elgin,Okla. and ask Bruce or Dustin how many thousands of dollars of calves they have sold out of them.Times may change,new bulls come along with a couple of "hot" calves,and of course the older bulls get pushed aside and the latest "hot"bull takes over.Nothng at all wrong with that,but it doesn't have a thing to do with how buls from 2years or 10 years ago will work on cows today. Most of the cows that throw good calves today,threw good calves out of the bulls in the past also.For instance,look how similar they are bred.HW,Draftpick,Payback,Sugar Ray,HS and others are in the new bulls pedigree.
