I am posting the following information for Malinda, please feel free to contact her directly or I am available to forward messages to her.

The heifer is Martindell Lily 8021 and was calved March 3 and weighed 90 pounds. She is pictured at about 63 or 64 days of age. If I have to fault her as a show heifer it would be her short hair and her color. She is structurally very sound and tracks well. If you are looking for a heifer to have some fun with and then make a GREAT cow, this is your girl.

Her dam is Martindell Lily 207, a moderate framed 7 year old cow who really milks. Her front udder attachment is a little higher but it sure doesn't hurt her production.

Her sire is NPS Durango 774 CBH.

I will be weaning and weighing her Aug 21, she will be started on grain, dewormed and vaccinated.

I am asking $2000 for her. That is a firm price because if I do not sell her, she will stay here as a cow.

I will include 2 straws of Eastern Sky Conductor 506 semen to breed HER to. I think that will be a very interesting calf, with the DZ cow and Spike added to her genetics.

I am located about half way between Columbus and Cincinnati, Ohio.

She has not been out of the pasture yet. I just started showing them some grain a few days ago.

I will get her TH and PHA tested.

I am personally not going to be able to halter break her; have two surgeries looming that will leave me non weight bearing for three weeks and then 3 months of rehab each. UGGGGH BUT, all hope is not lost. I have a neighbor that used to work for me that is as good as they come in breaking calves. I'm hoping I can get him to help me out.

Thanks,

Malinda

Sorry it has taken me so long to post but have been running around.

The heifer has been sold. The first young man that looked at her will be taking her home. She stays in Ohio.

I promised to post her weaning weight. No creep, but I did get those calves started on grain for two weeks prior to weaning....a 12% horse feed that is mostly oats.

Again, she is a March 3, weaned Aug. 21 weighing 708#

Thanks to everyone that inquired about the heifer.
